More about Morgan Damerow:
Morgan Damerow is the Assistant Attorney General with the Attorney General’s Office Local Government Consultation Program. Morgan is one of the program consultants and the program’s lead attorney. Over the last four years, he has represented dozens of state agencies in significant PRA cases in front of trial courts, the Court of Appeals, and the State Supreme Court.
In this position, Morgan helps local governments by providing:
• guidance on responding to public records requests;
• information on resources for developing or updating technology related to public records; and
• best practices for ensuring agencies comply with requests properly and efficiently.
Morgan has worked for the state for over 16 years. During this time he worked as a Section Chief for the AGO’s Labor and Personnel Division and has been lead counsel for numerous state agencies. Prior to this, he was the Prosecutor for the Lummi Nation in Bellingham, Washington. He graduated from the University of Montana, School of Law in 1997 and received his BA in 1990 from Linfield College.
